Our 2023 ESG Report provides an overview of our initiatives aimed at advancing sustainability goals. It highlights the targets we have achieved, the key performance indicators we have met, and the sustainability initiatives undertaken throughout the year. This report offers stakeholders a transparent view of our commitment to upholding ESG principles.
As part of our strategic plan for 2022-2024, we made significant progress in 2023, despite navigating a challenging external environment. We intensified our efforts to diversify and focus on high-potential areas, resulting in the opening of new offices in Azerbaijan and the UAE. Additionally, the company has strengthened its presence in established markets, including Europe, Turkey, China, Central Asia, and the US.
Our team started to develop transitioning from traditional full truckload (FTL) trucking to more eco-friendly intermodal solutions for our partners and in 2023, we launched our first intermodal transport service in Europe. Furthermore, AsstrA remains dedicated to expanding our global ocean freight and project logistics operations as part of our diversification strategy 22-24 aiming at making our business more sustainable in the future.
We are collaboratively working to develop innovative solutions for decarbonizing the supply chain. This includes forming strategic partnerships, consulting with stakeholders, educating our employees, and managing environmental initiatives within our ESG framework. In 2023, we expanded our offerings to include Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) solutions and began developing Bio-LNG options. We also initiated calculations for capital and operational expenditures (CAPEX and OPEX) for electric trucks and made efforts to reduce empty mileage for our dedicated fleet.
Sustainability is a key priority for our business, and environmental protection is a crucial pillar of our ESG strategy. Moving forward, we remain committed to enhancing our ESG performance and amplifying the positive impact of our logistics operations. Through ongoing innovation, we strive to contribute to a more sustainable and responsible future.
